The Maplewood Environmental Advisory Committee is a group of Maplewood residents appointed by the Township Committee to advise them and the municipal government on environmental/green issues including climate change, recycling, clean air, clean water, and protection against health threatening contaminants.
The Committee is also responsible for coordinating the annual celebration of Earth Day and developing educational programs for the community.

Come join us for the annual Rahway River Cleanup on Earth Day! This year, we’re having a neighborhood picnic, so stop by for some nourishment and community.
Check-in tables will be at the bridge near the Civic House (124 Dunnell Road) and in the high school parking lot at Parker Road.
We will have gloves, bags, and lunch for you!
Please wear footwear suitable for walking in the river (closed-toe, waterproof shoes or boots are best).
